A picture of the inside of a toy gun combined with a picture of the outside. It lined up quite nicely. You can hear a one minute piece of music (or noise, depending on what you call music…) I made with it if you click the picture. All sounds made with this toy gun… There’s some layering of the sounds of course and I circuit bent the gun myself (prior to which it only made one sound which could not be changed).
It sounds a bit like being punched in the back of the head and then being kicked repeatedly. So. Brutal and heavy I guess. It’s about as musical as you can be with a toy I think…
I submitted this for Hal McGee’s International Email Audio Art Project… The idea of which involved submitting 60 seconds of sound which would then be compiled with 59 other contributions to make a full albums worth of material. Anyone could take part, and there were contributions from all over the world.
